Ranthambore has stays for every budget, from simple guesthouses to luxury jungle lodges. Where you stay matters mainly for how early you need to wake up for the morning safari.
Ranthambore Road
Most hotels and resorts line Ranthambore Road, the stretch between Sawai Madhopur town and the park gate. It is the most convenient area: safari vehicles pick up along this road and the gate is a short drive away.
Sawai Madhopur town
Budget hotels and guesthouses near the railway station and in town. Good value and handy for train arrivals, with a slightly longer drive to the gate.
Village lodges and resorts
Some resorts sit in the villages around the park boundary, with large grounds and a quieter feel. Check how far they are from the gate and whether safari pickup works from there.
What to check before booking
- Distance to the main gate and safari pickup
- Early breakfast or packed breakfast for morning safaris
- Hot water and heating in winter, good air conditioning in summer
- Whether the hotel can store luggage on your last day
Do hotels book safaris?
Many do, and some guests book permits separately. Either way, the permit is issued by the forest department in the guests’ names. We can work with any hotel for pickup; just share the name.
