This policy explains what personal information Ranthambore Safari Bookings (“we”, “us”) collects through ranthamboresafaribookings.com, WhatsApp, phone and email, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Who we are
Ranthambore Safari Bookings is a private booking desk in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan 322001, India. We help guests book safari permits for Ranthambore National Park, Chambal river safaris and cabs to Ranthambore Fort. We are not the Rajasthan Forest Department. For anything about your data, contact us at info@ranthamboresafaribookings.com or on WhatsApp at +91 90246 96120.
What we collect
- Safari enquiry form: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, visiting date, shift, vehicle, preferred zone, whether guests are Indian or foreign, and any message you write.
- Guest details for permits: when you confirm a booking, the name, age, gender, nationality and photo ID number of each guest. The forest department requires these on every safari permit, and the same ID must be shown at the gate.
- Messages: anything you send us on WhatsApp, phone or email, including your hotel name for pickup.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected by our hosting server and by Google Analytics (see “Cookies and analytics”).
We do not take card or bank details through this website.
Why we use it
- To check availability and reply to your enquiry
- To book safari permits on the official forest department system, and the vehicles, cabs, boats or hotels you ask for
- To contact you about your booking before and during your trip
- To keep the website secure, stop spam enquiries and understand which pages are useful
We use your information because you give it to us to make an enquiry or booking. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Rajasthan Forest Department: guest details needed to issue permits.
- Your service providers: the driver, boat operator or hotel that serves your booking, only what they need (for example name, phone and pickup point).
- Technology providers: Hostinger (website hosting), our email provider, WhatsApp (if you message us there) and Google (analytics and fonts).
- Authorities: when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside India. They have their own privacy policies.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies and receives your IP address and device information. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Fonts load from Google Fonts and animation scripts from public code libraries (cdnjs and jsDelivr); these services receive your IP address when a page loads. The homepage remembers whether you switched its sound off, in your own browser only. The WhatsApp and Instagram links open those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking details for as long as we need them to serve your trip, and then for up to two years so we can answer questions about past bookings, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. After that they are deleted. Permit records held by the forest department follow the department’s own rules.
Keeping it safe
The website uses HTTPS, enquiries are stored in a password-protected admin area, and only our booking desk can see them. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct or update it, or to delete it once it is no longer needed for your booking. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this will not affect bookings already made, but we may not be able to book new permits without guest details. You can also name another person to act for you. Guests visiting from other countries can use the same rights.
Bookings for children are made by their parent or guardian, who gives the child’s details for the permit.
Questions and complaints
Write to info@ranthamboresafaribookings.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 90246 96120, with “Privacy” in your message. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
We will update this page if the way we use information changes. Last updated: 23 October 2026.
