How to book
The Ranthambore safari booking process is simple: the forest department issues every permit in the guest’s name, and here is how we book it for you, step by step.

From enquiry to permit
Most bookings are confirmed within a day of receiving guest details.
- 01Send your dates
Fill in the form or message us: date, shift, Gypsy or Canter, number of Indian and foreign guests, and your preferred zone.
- 02We check the portal
We check permit availability on the official forest department system for your date and shift.

For each guest we need the full name, age, gender, nationality and photo ID number exactly as on the ID.
- 04We book the permit
We book the permit and send you a copy with the zone, shift and pickup plan.
- 05Safari day
Your Gypsy or Canter picks you up. Carry the same ID you booked with; it is checked at the gate.

What we need from you
Permits are personal. The name and ID number on the permit must match the ID the guest carries on the day, so please send the details exactly as printed on the ID.
When to book
- October to March weekends and holidays: 60 to 90 days ahead
- Other dates: two to three weeks is usually enough
- Last-minute: Tatkal permits are released closer to the day, in limited numbers

Are you the forest department?
No. Ranthambore Safari Bookings is a private agency. We book permits through the official system and add planning, pickup and help on the ground.
Can I change the date or names later?
Permit changes follow the forest department’s rules, which are strict about names and dates. Tell us as early as possible and we will tell you what is allowed.
How do I get my permit?
We send a copy on WhatsApp or email once it is booked, along with the pickup time.
Do you show prices on the site?
Permit fees are set by the forest department and change from time to time. We quote the full cost for your date and vehicle when we reply to your enquiry.
